Patriots rookie Javon Baker continues to put NFL on blast with his wild quotes
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Javon Baker has not been quiet since being selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. And he has made sure to let the rest of the NFL know what he thinks about falling so low in the draft.

After getting picked, Baker went on Instagram Live, reacting to 17 wide receivers getting drafted before him.

“Took too (expletive) long,” Baker said. “Y’all finna pay.”

Baker then spoke with reporters following the selection and dropped quite the quote.

“Come to the stadium and bring y’all popcorn,” Baker said during a video conference. “That’s all I can tell y’all. Bring your popcorn. I make people in wheelchairs stand up.

He expanded on why he is saying all this.

“Honestly, there’s gonna always be a chip on my shoulder no matter what,” Baker added. “I’m self-driven. I know how it feels to be behind somebody, I know how it feels to be bottom of the depth chart. So I’m gonna always have a chip on my shoulder regardless.”

However, all of his talking has not died down. Instead, he's kept it up as the Patriots rookies are set to report to Gillette Stadium in a week for Rookie Minicamp.

“No way in (expletive) America 10 receivers better than me,” Baker said in a video posted to Instagram. “Out of your (expletive) mind. … You ain’t gonna outwork me, though. Tell you that much. I don’t give a (expletive) how hard I’m breathing. I’m gonna go again.”

So let's see if he can follow it up with his play.
