KC Chiefs rookies were in absolute awe the first time they saw GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium
Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

We have seen so many videos of players, specifically free agents, visiting with the Kansas City Chiefs after they do their deal and just being in absolute awe the first time they step on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium as a member of the franchise.

It's just different. The Chiefs have a championship aura about them, and every football player knows that Arrowhead Stadium is the loudest NFL stadium. As you all likely know, the Chiefs set the record for the loudest stadium several years ago.

Last offseason we saw it with linebacker Drue Tranquill, who was literally like a kid in a candy shop when he stood on the field. This offseason, it was Hollywood Browns who was also in awe of what he was looking at. That was inside the stadium, as the outside has just as much aura. Just ask the newest members of the Chiefs.

"It's pretty surreal," Hunter Nourzad said on Saturday. "You try to prepare yourself as best as possible during the process, but you really have no idea where you're going to go. Once the bus rolled up the road, we saw the stadium and the facility. It was really breathtaking, and it was really an incredible experience that I feel truly blessed to be able to experience. It's unbelievable."

"Definitely, you see the huige stadium with all the seats and everything, and you know, I have never seen it so I think it's the coolest looking stadium if you are looking outside to inside," tight end Jared Wiley said. "You're kind of starstruck for a minute, but then you realize, you are here for a reason, so you shift your mindset a bit."

Arrowhead Stadium is a historic building in football history. These guys feel the aura it has.
